Hi girls! Brown riding boots are a staple and go with other autumnal colors well without looking matchy -matchy. My preference is the brown color because it suits the style of the boots, they remind me of fall and riding. Plus the black looks too authoritative for my taste.
They are uber comfortable and you can tuck your skinnies into these on the weekends in fall and dry wintery times or team these with a pencil skirt or trousers for a preppy look. If you really want to do prep, wear these with a tweedy pencil skirt. My fave= these, dark jeans tucked in, a nice v neck sweater with a beige trench atop the ensemble.
Okay, these boots in particular score on several fronts. The hidden inner elasticized bit makes them conform to your legs so go ahead and wear these over your chunky socks, tights, jeans, whatever, anything short of culottes or sweat pants (don't you dare) these will accomodate them without cutting off the circulation. The inconspicuous zippers go all the way up the leg, so they are easy to don and doff. The leather is very dark brown and soft. The soles flex well, and the overall boot is high quality. The minus is that I think the leather was ever so scratched in two places - but only I would notice that and for the inexpensive price for a boot this timeless and classic that I paid, I really can't quibble over that.
