The Cattleman Ball this year in Nebraska has made many headlines because there is a pair of signed boots from Warren Buffet, but according to inside sources, there is at least one other pair which may interest those attending the auction. The name of the donor has not been released yet, and all that is disclosed is that the name is a big and important one and no more is being said until the auction. This ball is held every single year to benefit a good cause, and this year the theme is called Kickin Cancer with a boot auction being held to help raise money for cancer research and treatment.

Recent news about the sellout of one of Arizona’s most popular footwear stores, the Western Warehouse stores, has had people in the area agitated, but the news has come down that the Boot Barn will be running all three of the stores in the Tuckson area. All three of the stores are holding their store grand opening as the Boot Barn this weekend, and part of the reward for loyal customers of the previous store is the fact that all of the Boot Barn stores will be offering twenty percent off on almost every item in the store, including boots and hats.

Included in this selection is a pair of boots that are autographed by Warren Buffet. This pair should o a ways towards the one million dollar goal that the event has set to donate to fight cancer.

A memorial service and tribute was held in Fullerton, California recently for Courtney Stewart, the twenty year old student who was killed in a fatal car crash together with some friends that included a rookie pitcher for the California Angels, Nick Adenhart and Henry Pierson, a law student. At the memorial it was remembered that sStewart had a fondness for country music, cowboy boots, line dancing, and the color pink. Stewart was driving the group to go line dancing when a drunk driver ran a red light and slammed into the vehicle. The driver responsible has been arrested and charged with three counts of second degree murder as well as other charges.
