Mark Boyd scored a great one Friday night to win the game, but he revealed afterwards that he did it wearing another players boots. This happened because Boyd has a boot mishap in the game before this one, against Torquay. His favorite pair of playing boots split on him, and could not be worn anymore. He brought anther pair to Friday’s game, but during the warmup the boots caused his feet to hurt. That is when he borroewed a teammates boots, namely Nat Kerrs. Boyd was laughing, and stated that the borrowed boots were so big he had to wear three pairs of socks to get them to fit right.
