Nice wallet April 11, 2010 S. Coulthard Got it in brown for my fiance. He loves it...only thing it doesn't close properly when full of stuff....nice though
Amazing Wallet! March 29, 2010 Awesome Wallet Buyer I think this wallet is quite simply one of the best wallets I've owned. It's a nice dark brown color, with smooth leather. I thought it was fake leather because I've never really had a smooth leather wallet; all the ones I've owned were a rough leather. It has fashionable light brown double lined stitching around the edges of the wallet and ample space for things. My one and only complaint is that it does not have a loop so you can put a carabiner through. I like wearing my wallets with carabiners because I feel extra safe knowing I won't lose it unless the hook opens. Anyway, buy the wallet!
what a disappointment March 20, 2010 Mr. Ross Kuhns (Columbus, Ohio USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I really looked over reviews of a bunch of different wallets and websites after my old reliable Eddie Bauer finally started coming apart. I thought this looked like a decent leather replacement for a very fair price.
This cheapo wallet is a real disappointment.
I'm suprised by the good reviews here. I see a few were as gifts, and it sure did come packaged in a black leather case nicely presented - it's great until you pull it out and realize that the packaging leather is NICER than the leather the actual wallet is made of.
I've got it sitting here in front of me and, ugh, just touching the thing makes me think "pleather". It is stamped "genuine leather", but there must be some very thin skinned plastique-like cows in China.
The good? Well, it does seem fairly well made, stitches are all straight. Looks good from a few feet away (or, uh, on a website picture).
The negative? besides the thin, pastic like leather you ask?
a) It doesn't sit right when filled. With only about 8 bills in it and each spot for cc's filled, it is lopsided, not made with enough give or width. Cheap.
b) The black "grain" or color on it is artificial. Kind of like a fake marble countertop. "Call now, because if you like marble, you'll love Charble!" Cheap.
c) The leather (yes, I mentioned it already but it needs to be said again) is so lame-o that if I was on a game show and you offered me $1,000 to decide if it was leather or fake, I'd probably still guess fake.
Maybe Dockers changed chinese makers and really cheapened this thing out from earlier reviews, but really, this thing just disgusts me on what a poor purchase I made. I have thrown the packaging away, or I'd send it back, I even then tried it for two weeks to see if I was being too hard - and it feels even cheaper.
I see some kids outside playing basketball, after I post this, I'm going to go outside and give it to one of them. Seriously. I don't review often, but wanted to help save another person from this plastawallet. Ugh.
Crooked folds February 26, 2010 Marie Hospoda (Philadelphia, PA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I returned this wallet after I received it and saw that the folds are not parallel. When the wallet is closed shut, the top part is wider than the bottom. It might seem like a small complaint, but it's a wallet and it's supposed to fold evenly. Second thing I didn't like about it was that it was very "fat" when folded and I hadn't put a single card in it. I'll try one of the Levi slim wallets next.
Served me well for years February 9, 2010 Pat O (PA, United States) I've had this wallet so long I can't really remember how old it is. I'd wager that it's just a little shy of 10 years. I use it as a front pocket wallet and it can hold quite a lot of cards/cash/etc if you need it to, and slims down pretty well when all that isn't needed. Even fully stuffed it was never a problem in my front pocket. At its current age and wear, the leather is holding up well. The stitches are a little frayed, though nothing that would cause it to fall apart (just a worn look). Having carried way too much in this wallet for years, some of the pockets are stretched to the point where single/double cards could fall out. This is mostly due to my usage though. Now wanting to only carry a minimum with me, the cards falling out can be a little annoying. New I don't think this would be a problem.
I'm in the market for a new wallet mainly to either slim down to a smaller one (I don't carry much these days) and move up to a higher end. For it's price though this wallet has been great and with me for a long time. It's still in plenty good shape to keep going if I wanted and I'll be keeping it around just in case.
If you're still carrying around a ton of cards, cash, ids, etc, or want the flexibility to be able to while still not having a bulky wallet when only carrying a few things, this wallet is potentially a good choice.
